Hi,

I’m a cybersecurity guy with 15+ years building products and solutions, mostly around incident response and automation. Think SOAR platforms, detection systems, the stuff that helps analysts move faster and actually get through their day without wanting to throw their laptop out the window.

I dig into both enterprise and open-source AI, scripting, APIs, multi-cloud integrations, and the weird, unexpected problems that always show up. I work with SOC and threat intel teams and keep the jargon to a minimum. For the last couple of years I’ve been riding the AI wave, trying (and sometimes failing) to keep up with how fast everything is moving.

I’m retired Air Force (24+ years). The family and I have lived all over the place, been through a handful of countries and more cities than I can count, but we’re settled in Woodstock, Illinois now. I’m the dad of two, though now that they’re in their twenties it doesn’t feel like I get to be “Dad” quite as much anymore. When I’m not working, you’ll find me coding, hacking away at AI projects, playing chess, or yo-yoing (yes, really). Also, I find mildly annoying my wife to be surprisingly cathartic. (I’m joking… mostly.) People mistakenly call me a nerd. I prefer “athlete”, if chess and yo-yoing count, which they absolutely do.
